SEO Manager Job Description
Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of growing the quality and quantity of website traffic by increasing the visibility of a website or a web page to users of a web search engine. SEO refers to the improvement of unpaid results (known as “natural” or “organic” results) and excludes direct traffic and the purchase of paid placement.
SEO Manager, Also known as an SEO Specialist, is responsible for editing and creating content that includes keywords which are featured more often in search engine results. SEO may target different kinds of searches, including image search, video search, academic search, news search, and industry-specific vertical search engines. Promoting a site to increase the number of backlinks, or inbound links, is another SEO tactic.
SEO Manager plans, develops, manages and executes communication/content strategies via social communities in coordination with client goals. He/She monitors and evaluates search results and search performance across the major search channels in order to improve rankings. They also monitor and evaluate web analytics dashboards and reports in order to develop and recommend SEO strategies. They communicate to team and management on project development, timelines, and results.
